My AD called today and asked about a DJ they received with two letters missing from the printing on the dial. 
I advised them to return it to Rolex for a replacement. Even though these seem to be collectable they really are not. 
Rolex would change the dial as soon as they saw it so you could never have it serviced.
Plus, I have never seen a ‘mistake’ sold, always returned for a correct model.
So with all the QC at Rolex mistakes can slip by. I do remember one with a missing word a few years back and it was returned quickly. =) maverick

Just got out of my AD. I’ve been thinking of getting me a Sub. Still contemplating if I should get an LV or reg date. Anyway, the lady stated that they (Rolex) have discontunued making the LV.
